SUMMARY:Are You an Oregon Coast Aquarium Diver? Take Part in a DAN Study...
DESCRIPTION:DAN has been conducting a study of Diving and your Heart in divers over 40 for the last couple of years.  The link below is to an article that recently appeared in Alert Diver about the study.  It is quite interesting. \nRead the article here. \nThey were looking for one more group to participate in the study.  We contacted them and proposed using Oregon Coast Aquarium divers from Eugene Dive Club.  Out of 25 inquiries from dive groups around the country they selected us because of the Oregon Coast Aquarium controlled dive conditions\, and because we are primarily drysuit divers. That’s new for them. And because so many of us are old I guess….. \nThe study will be conducted at Oregon Coast Aquarium the week of October 16-20th.  Dive teams for that week have been notified\, but we will need some additional folks too. If your shift is not already scheduled for that week\, you are a current with your Oregon Coast Aquarium dive requirements\, over 40\, and you are available to participate one of those days please contact Jenna Walker at Jenna.Walker@aquarium.org.  She’ll get you the info you need to participate. \nThis is a great opportunity to participate in important research that can benefit all of us.  It should be fun.
